Meet the Team Behind North Idaho Ketamine & TMS
At North Idaho Ketamine & TMS, our multidisciplinary team combines psychiatry, ketamine therapy, TMS therapy, counseling, and patient support to provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. Every member of our team is dedicated to helping patients feel safe, understood, and supported throughout their healing journey.

From Dr. John M. Thurston, MD
Founder & Board-Certified Psychiatrist

Originally from Minnesota, I completed my residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School and became board-certified in both Psychiatry and Neurology before relocating to Coeur d' Alene with my family of eight; my wife, two kids, two cats, one dog, and a snake my son absolutely had to have (I'm still working on that one.) North Idaho's beautiful mountains, lakes, and slower pace of life immediately felt like home.

After finishing residency in 2017, I worked in a variety of settings including the VA medical center, a college counseling center, a PACT team, a dual-diagnosis center, searching for where I truly belonged within mental health care. Then, at the 2019 American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry Conference in San Diego, I attended a lecture on ketamine therapy; leading me to pursue treatment myself.

What I found wasn't just relief - it was clarity. I'd been at war with my career, and for the first time I realized the problem wasn't me. The mental health care system itself was broken, and that realization gave me the courage to build something different.
I opened North Idaho Ketamine & TMS with the goal of creating more compassionate, human-centered mental health care. I've had the privilege of helping hundreds of patients rediscover hope through Ketamine and TMS therapies- many arriving with little hope left and leaving with a renewed purposed and love for life again.

My path into psychiatry wasn't a straight line, but one thing has always remained clear to me: healing begins with human connection. Helping people feel seen, understood, and supported remains at the center of everything we do.

The North Idaho
Ketamine & TMS Team

Allegra, NRP
Director of Infusions
Allegra grew up in the Inland Northwest with a passion for adventure and helping others. After one too many trips to the ER with her four boys, she began her career in emergency medicine—starting as an EMT-B and advancing to a paramedic. She later founded Equip Solutions Group, where she taught CPR and First Aid to individuals and local businesses. At North Idaho Ketamine & TMS, Allegra is known for her quick wit, kind heart, and ability to make patients feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. Outside of the clinic, she works as a wildland paramedic and enjoys fishing, paddleboarding with her Australian Shepherd, and training jiu-jitsu.

Jesse, BCBA
Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
With a passion for all things brain and behavior, Jesse approaches counseling with warmth, curiosity, and authenticity. She knows that progress looks different for everyone, so she cultivates a therapy space that’s grounded in acceptance—a place where people can come as they are. Jesse holds a master’s degree in psychology and board certification in behavior analysis. She’s also completing a second master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling while accruing fieldwork hours towards licensure. As an “army brat” and veteran, Jesse has called many places home, but she’s found her forever home here in North Idaho. She’s a dog mom to two goldendoodles and loves attending hockey games and heavy metal concerts with her husband.

Tiffany
Director of TMS Therapy &
Patient Enrollment Specialist
Tiffany holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and has always felt deeply called to support others through life’s more difficult moments. Her passion for mental health is rooted in a genuine desire to help people feel less alone—creating a space where they feel safe and truly cared for. As the first point of contact for many patients, she’s known for her gentle heart, thoughtful presence, and exceptional attention to detail, helping people feel at ease from the very beginning. Tiffany takes a patient-centered approach, meeting each person where they are and walking alongside them with compassion throughout their journey. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors, working on puzzles and LEGO builds, and baking sweet treats.

Hannah
Marketing Director & TMS Specialist
Hannah is a born-and-raised Idahoan with a passion for helping others feel their best, both mentally and physically. Known for her calm, grounded presence and easygoing nature; she creates a space where people feel comfortable, supported, and understood. As a certified fitness coach & personal trainer with competitive bodybuilding, half marathons, and triathlons under her belt, she values the strong connection between physical health and mental wellness. Outside of the clinic, Hannah runs a photography business, enjoys traveling, chasing adrenaline rushes, and spending time with her Shepsky.

Katyann, MA
Infusion Specialist
Katyann is a Certified Medical Assistant with over 10 years of experience and a deep passion for supporting others through compassionate care. With empathy at the forefront, she was drawn to the mental health field through personal experiences with her son and a desire to help others "get their light back". Known for her gentle, nurturing nature and soft spirit, Katyann creates a comforting environment for patients—especially during vulnerable moments. She has a huge passion for music, and is unreasonably obsessed with orangutans, especially the babies!

Devon, AEMT
Infusion Specialist
Devon brings over a decade of experience in emergency medicine, beginning as an EMT-B working in a level 3 trauma center, then transferring into the ER as an AEMT. His background, along with his own personal journey of growth, led him here with a deep appreciation for mental health. He often weaves philosophy into his approach, helping broaden perspective and support meaningful shifts in mindset. Known for his great sense of humor, Devon has a natural ability to put people at ease. He brings a lighthearted and reassuring presence that helps patients feel relaxed and supported throughout their experience. He's also the last of his generation to say he has his Eagle Scout and can drive a stick shift.

Jazmine
Front Office Coordinator
Jazmine brings kindness, compassion, and a calming presence to our front office team. After her own journey with mental health while navigating motherhood, she understands how meaningful it is to help others feel seen and heard. She makes every patient feel welcomed, supported, and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors, and helps the office run smoothly with her attention to detail. Born and raised in North Idaho, Jazmine loves spending time outdoors with her two children, hiking, swimming, and exploring together.
